VietWater will be held from October 11-13, 2023 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. 

VietWater is the major event in Vietnam for local and international industry professionals to source, learn, meet and network conveniently with the most extensive line-up of global water companies, equipment manufacturers and vendors.

In 2023 again, more than 400 brands from more than 25 countries will present the latest technology and innovative equipment in water and wastewater treatment and management, purification, irrigation and pumps and valves. Since 2018, WETV Expo is co-located with Vietwater. WETV complements Vietwater perfectly, because it covers additional areas of the environmental technology sector, such as waste management and recycling, air purification, environmental monitoring and measurement as well as energy saving and environmental friendly technologies in general.

Over the years, Vietnam has implemented many solutions to improve water quality, protect water sources and the environment, promote international cooperation, receive, transfer and apply advanced technology in the world. Despite of achieving many important results, the Vietnamese water sector is still limited, difficult and inadequate, especially facing many major challenges such as urban population growth, management capacity, water pollution, climate change extremes or community awareness. The drainage rate per example is still high, the rate of wastewater treatment is extremely low and the rate of treating solid marine substances by burial is up to 75%.

Along with the economic development, the demand for water and energy is increasing. With the goal of 95-100% of the population supplied with clean water by 2025, the need for treatment, equipment and technology in all areas of the hydrological cycle in Vietnam are tremendous

To tackle these environmental and water issues many well-funded projects are being planned, such as the project to clarify the water quality of the West Lake and the To Lich River, the project of flood proofing for Ho Chi Minh City worth VND 10’000 billion, the garbage collection and wastewater treatment system in Con Dao or the project for 80’000Ha of land for industrial parks spread across the country.
