From Tuesday to Friday, 12-15 October 2021, Pollutec took place at Eurexpo, Lyon

Despite ongoing challenges related to the Covid-19 pandemic, over the four days of the show Pollutec 2021 recorded visits by over 46,000 professionals, keen to meet the 2,000 show exhibitors of which 83 countries were represented.

Innovation is unquestionably the beating heart of every industry represented at Pollutec. This year, no fewer than 180 innovative solutions were put forward by exhibitors to the show’s innovation team. While half of these addressed water and waste (including instrumentation), the air and energy sectors saw an upsurge in solutions, such as air disinfection, hydrogen production & storage, and collective self-consumption. In the same way, the risks sector and sustainable cities and construction presented many innovative solutions such as health and fire risk management, mobile lighting and materials. It should also be noted that of the 180 innovations confirmed this year, almost half were from new exhibitors at the show.

  • 92% of visitors were satisfied with their visit
  • 95% of visitors were delighted with the conferences programme
  • 86% of visitors were satisfied with qualified business meetings
  • 86% of exhibitors and 92% of visitors have already said they will be back in 2023

The Swiss Pavilion offered 2 booths of a total of 318m2. After a long period of absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic both the exhibitors at the Swiss Pavilion and their visitors were more than delighted to attend the trade fair in person and to conduct promising sales talks with potential customers face-to-face again.

Visit of the Swiss Consulat General: Mr. Pascal Bornoz, swiss consul general, visited the Swiss Pavilion at Pollutec on the second day of the trade fair. The following evening, he invited all the exhibitors at the Swiss Pavilion for a reception at his residence in Lyon. We are thrilled about his generous welcome and grateful for his interest in the environmental sector and the swiss companies on the Pavilion.

“Finally, after a break forced by the pandemic, we were allowed to finally feel the pulse of a trade fair again: From 12 - 15 October 2021, the environmental trade fair Pollutec took place in Lyon (France). This time again we were able to exhibit as part of the Swiss Pavilion and enjoyed the trade fair to the fullest as an exhibitor.”

“This feeling at the fair and the personal contact with new potential customers and partners was particularly appreciated by all visitors and exhibitors after a long time away from the fair, and this led to exciting project ideas and interesting contacts.”
Mario Meier, CEO, FUB – Forschungsstelle für Umweltbeobachtung AG

“This exhibition was a great success and with even more visitors at our booth within the Swiss Pavilion than the years before and with a high rate of direct decision makers as visitors. As an exhibitor, we love being part of Pollutec and we are already looking forward for the next one in 2023”
Michele Viliger, Sales Director, Viliger Entsorgungsysteme AG
